My Feet are Raw

I had another good week of training last week. Once again, I ran further than I ever have before at just over 101k. However, my feet are really starting to pay for all of the miles I’ve been putting in. I seem to have blisters on top of my blisters.

I guess the good news is that they’ll likely turn into calluses, and I won’t have any blister problems during my marathon. I guy can hope, can’t he?

I’m really enjoying this training, and am feeling fitter than I ever have in my life. For my long run on Saturday, I completed 29k with 16k at 4:35 pace, which is 10 seconds per kilometer faster than my Boston qualifying pace. I felt really great after too. I almost feel like I’m ready to give a qualifying run a shot right now, and I still have about 12 more weeks of training left. Just have to stay healthy, and continue to put the miles in.
