About

Originally, this blog began as way for me to document my journey as I prepared to qualify for the 2011 Boston Marathon.

My posts were not only about how my training was progressing, but also about my thoughts on anything related to running; books, food (I initially started running just so I could eat as much pizza as I wanted and not care about it), movies, running gear, etc.

Having achieved that goal, I have thought quite a bit about how I have changed as a person as a result, and it has all been tremendously positive.

Given that, while I still plan to post about my training and the challenges I face preparing for my first Boston Marathon, I have decided to change the primary focus of this blog to my thoughts on achieving excellence. The Road to Boston name won’t change. I look at it as a kind of euphemism for excellence in my life anyway.

I hope that those of you who enjoyed reading my posts on running, continue to enjoy reading my thoughts on all things excellent! And, your feedback makes it all worthwhile.
